Day 2 Results

Randy Fang won his first USOA WOC qualifying tournament today with a
perfect 6-0 result. Bill Hahn finished second with 3-3 with Vlad
Petric at 2-4 and David Rockwell at 1-5. Second place was actually
closely contested. Bill clinched it with a 34-30 final round victory
over David. If the result had been reversed, a three way tie for
second would have resulted.

Day 1 Results

10 players attended day one of the National Open. I believe this is
the most players we've had since the National Open was first held.
Special thanks go to Sharon Katzman and Bill Hahn who have been
working hard to get new players to our tournaments.

Randy Fang and Vlad Petric tied for first with five wins in six
rounds. David Rockwell and Tom Wiencek qualifed for the second day
with four wins. Tom was not able to participate on Sunday, so Steve
Gilmore and defending National Open champion Frank Armatys were
eligible for a playoff for the final spot. Steve also was unable to
participate on Sunday, So Bill Hahn stepped up for the playoff game
with Frank. Bill prevailed 33-31 to become the fourth contestant on
day 2. Tommorrow will be a double round robin event. Here are the
